PAINT

PACKING PEANUTS
Not recyclable. Check local shipping stores to see if they will accept these materials for reuse. Dispose of in garbage.

PALLETS
Accepted at the Yard Waste Site located at 720 S. Mapleton Street, Columbus. There is a fee for businesses to dispose of pallets. Visit www.bcswmd.com for fees.

PAPER
Accepted at all facilities. Sort paper into the following categories for the Columbus/Bartholomew Recycling Center; Junk Mail/Office Paper or Newspaper.

PAPER TOWELS
Not recyclable. Dispose of in garbage. The cardboard tubes can be donated to the Little Red School House or recycled with cardboard.

PAPER BOARD
Accepted for recycling at all BCSWMD facilities. Separate from other paper types when using the Columbus/Bartholomew Recycling Center.

PESTICIDES

PHONE BOOKS
Accepted for recycling at all BCSWMD facilities. Separate from other paper types when using the Columbus/Bartholomew Recycling Center.

PICTURE FRAME GLASS Not recyclable. Dispose of in the garbage.

PIZZA BOXES
Cardboard pizza boxes can be recycled at all BCSWMD facilities. Remove any food and extra greasy parts of the cardboard before recycling.

PLASTIC CONTAINERS
Check the number in the recycling triangle, usually on the bottom of the container. #1 and #2 plastics are accepted at all BCSWMD facilities. Must be empty, clean, dry, and loose. Do not put plastic bags in the recycling bins! Caps can be left on. Sort by number when visiting the Columbus/Bartholomew Recycling Center. Plastics marked with #3-#7 are not accepted.

PLASTIC FURNITURE Not recyclable. Dispose of in garbage or donate for reuse if in good condition.

PLASTIC WRAP
Plastic case wrap, such as around cases of water or toilet paper, can be recycled with plastic grocery bags at local retailers.
Plastic food wrap is not recyclable. Dispose of in garbage.

One pound camping fuel canisters are accepted via the Tox-Away Program at the Columbus/Bartholomew Recycling Center Monday - Friday 7:30-4:30. Must be completely empty and valve removed. 5 tank limit. No businesses.
