Bartholomew County Landfill
Residents and businesses can dispose of their waste at the Bartholomew County Landfill located
at 811 East 450 South. Loose loads of trash must be tarped or the user will be assessed a surcharge.
Hours:
Monday - Friday
from 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
Saturday’s
from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Fees:
Loads < 200 lbs:
One load per day free of charge.
Loads > 200 lbs:
$27.50 per ton.
CFC Appliances (refrigerators, etc.):
$20 Each
Computers (with associated peripherals):
2 per day at no cost - 3 or more $6 each
Quartered Tires:
$47.50 per ton/All loads
Whole Tires:
Fee structure is as follows;
Light truck and car tires w/o rim - $1.50 per tire
Light truck and car tires with rim - $2.50 per tire
Truck tires (19.5 & up) w/o rim - $7.00 per tire
Truck tires (19.5 & up) with rim - $13.00 per tire
Floaters (wide truck tires) w/o rim - $11.00 per tire
Floaters (wide truck tires) with rim - $18.00 per tire
Farm tractor tire - $25.00 per tire
Note: The following wastes are banned from disposal in the landfill: Liquids, PCB’s, oil, oil based paints, hazardous wastes, batteries, yard waste, tree trimmings, white goods (appliances), closed topped drums, hot burn barrels and whole tires.
BSWMD Saturday Rural Refuse Program
Bartholomew County residents can dispose of their trash at one of the convenient rural refuse sites. Residential bagged/canned trash only. One bed level pick-up maximum.
Hours: Saturday’s from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

1 mile west of Harrison Township Fire Department on Old Nashville Road.
Petersville Convenience Station
Bartholomew County residents can also dispose of their trash at the Petersville Convenience Station located east of Petersville on 25th Street at the old landfill.
