Columbus Bartholomew Recycling Center:
The drive-through center, located at 720 S. Mapleton in Columbus, is open for residential recycling on Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30am - 6:00pm and Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 8:00am - 3:30pm. To minimize your time at the center, please have items sorted by category for each material listed. Items accepted and preparation for those materials is as follows:

Glass
Clear, green and brown bottles and jars only. Jars must be empty with lids removed and reasonably cleaned out. Please sort by color and do not break. No other glass accepted.
    Helpful hints:
  • Do not run tap water to rinse out jars. Clean them out in your dirty dishwater, that way you are not wasting one resource to save another!
  • Labels are OK.
  • Metal lids can be placed with bi-metal cans.

Metals
  • Bi-metal food cans (tin). Cans must be empty, reasonably clean and separated from beverage cans.
  • Aluminum beverage cans. Cans must be empty and separated from bi-metal cans.
